Imagine hearing the roar of engines... but wait, there are no motorcycles this time! This time, it's your running shoes taking a lap around the track. Welcome to the Mugello GP Run, the annual running event that lets you set foot—and legs—on the legendary asphalt of the Mugello Circuit, typically reserved for two wheels.

Now in its 12th edition, the 2025 event is scheduled for Sunday, January 19, with the race starting at 11:00 AM. The finish line will be there waiting for you. The choice is yours: challenge yourself or simply enjoy a scenic lap around the circuit!

Group Run

Two Options for All Tastes (and Legs):

1) The Competitive Running: Two laps of the circuit, for a total of 10.49 km. Perfect for those looking to feel the adrenaline and test their limits on the track while chasing their personal best.

2) The Non-Competitive Walk: A single lap of 5 km for those who prefer to soak up the scenery without too much effort. Great for families, friends, or anyone whose main goal is a delicious post-run meal.

How to Register?

It’s easy! Simply head to the official event website (gprun.it) and register. Online registration is open until Thursday, January 16, 2025. After that, you can still register in person on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning at the GP Run Expo (note that late registration fees will apply).

If you’d rather just enjoy the event as a spectator, entry to the circuit is free!

Kids running

Something even for the Little Ones: Mugellino Kids

Thinking of leaving the kids at home because you’re worried they’ll get bored? Think again! Before the main event for adults, starting at 9:30 AM, kids can take part in the Mugellino Kids race! Held right on the famous Mugello track, kids of all ages are welcome to participate and will be grouped by age category. Each group will have its own course with varying lengths and difficulty levels, ensuring fun and a touch of friendly competition for everyone.

Running

Why Participate?

Because it’s not every day you can say: “On Sunday morning, I ran where Marc Marquez usually speeds through.” And no, you won’t need a helmet! But don’t expect it to be a walk in the park—Mugello’s curves are famously challenging, even for runners, with hills and inclines that will test even the fittest participants.

After the podium ceremony at 12:00 PM, it’s time to recharge. And what better way to do that than with a meal at the Paddock Restaurant? Get ready to treat your taste buds with dishes fit for champions!

But the fun doesn’t stop there: from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, the Mugello Circuit opens its doors for a free tour. You can explore the press room where breaking news is made, stroll through the internal park, and discover every hidden corner of the circuit. It’s the perfect chance to feel like a true motorsport insider.

An Event for Everyone

Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or only run to catch the bus, the Mugello GP Run is the perfect place to have fun and enjoy a unique experience.

So, what are you waiting for? Lace up your running shoes and get ready for a day of sports and excitement at full speed. Mugello is waiting for you, and this time, you’re making the pit stop… but with your own legs!

And if you’d like to treat yourself to some post-race relaxation and enjoy Mugello at your own pace, why not stay overnight? Choose one of our cozy holiday homes nearby and turn your experience into an unforgettable stay!
